Epoxy coated filter screen
Plain-woven wire mesh with an epoxy powder coating, used as the pleat support and protection layer in panel and cartridge filters. The cured coating protects the wire against corrosion and bonds every warp and weft crossing, so the screen does not unravel when it is slit to width or pleated at speed.

Why the coating matters on a pleating line
Locked intersections
The coating fixes each crossing point. Slit edges stay square and wires do not shed into the pleater or puncture the media.
Holds the pleat
Woven wire bends cleanly at the pleat tip and keeps its form without spring-back, so pleat spacing stays even across the pack.
Corrosion protection
The epoxy layer protects the wire in humid air streams and in oil-wetted elements.
Ready for your line
Supplied on rolls from 8 to 52 in wide and 100 to 2,000 ft long, sized to your pleat height.

Frequently asked questions
Why use epoxy coated screen instead of plain woven wire?
The cured epoxy bonds every warp and weft crossing, so the screen does not unravel when slit or pleated, the edges do not shed wires into the media, and the wire is protected against corrosion.
Which mesh counts are standard for filter support?
We supply 14 x 14 to 30 x 30 mesh. 16 x 16, 18 x 14, 18 x 16 and 24 x 22 are common choices for pleated air and hydraulic filters.
What base wire is used?
Low-carbon steel is standard. Aluminium and stainless steel 304 or 316 base wire are available on request.
What colours are available?
Black is standard. Grey, white and other colours can be made on request.
